WTVA congratulates the recipients of the 2008 Jefferson Awards for Public Service,
and applauds their contributions to community and public service.

Special congratulations to Nancy Collins, who was chosen out of the five local Jefferson Awards recipients to attend the national Jefferson Awards ceremony on June 17, 2008.  Nancy represented Mississippi at this ceremony, and was one of five recipients of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Outstanding Public Service Benefiting the Local Community.  She was presented the award in a ceremony hosted by Chris Wallace of FOX News at Union Station in Washington, DC.
